Children’s Check-Up and Clean

Our team at Cranbourne Dental Centre are very experienced with children and we love seeing kids! It is generally recommended to bring your children in for their first check-up around 2-3 years of age and subsequent check-ups every 6 months. Early check-ups will allow your children to be more familiarised with their dentist so they will be more relaxed in the future. It will also prevent minor dental issues becoming bigger problems. To keep your little ones smiling, we always try to make their visit fun with a positive experience.

Fissure Seals

The pits and fissures on your teeth are prime areas for opportunistic decay. Even regular brushing sometimes misses these deep grooves on the chewing surfaces of your teeth. Fissure sealants are coatings applied to these grooves designed to prevent the intrusion of bacteria and other debris into the deep crevices on the tops of your teeth. At Cranbourne Dental Centre, we view sealants as an effective and valuable preventative measure for kids.

A custom fitted mouthguard is very helpful to protect your teeth when playing a contact sport. Custom-fitted by our dentist at Cranbourne Clinic, this will significantly reduce the risk of dental injuries. Remember – contact sport is the most common cause of dental injuries.
